It depends on the type of case and the level of involvement you would like. Some people want a limited appearance just to do paperwork and get the ball rolling. Usually, clients want an attorney by their side throughout the entire process. The attorney prepares paperwork, files the documents, hires a process server, and goes with you to court. The attorney advocates for your position in court, via motions, and in negotiations with the other side.

The initial consultation is free. During your consultation (via phone or in person) a fee agreement will be reached. A bankruptcy and some small claims actions are handled with a flat fee. Divorces, family law cases, criminal cases, etc. are typically handled on an hourly basis. A down payment is required, but the amount of the down payment varies from case to case. We also offer payment plans on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis. Our office is committed to providing affordable legal representation; to that end we actively work with you to ensure you get excellent legal advice without breaking the bank.
